Since several years, the quartet  “Scala Nobile” by the guitarist Sandro Schneebeli is the best you can listen in the Jazz world music.

The Scala Nobile concert at the prestigious “Estival Lugano 2011” has been regarded by critics as the best concert of the 2011 (ahead of Robben Ford and Vinicio Capossela). Here is the review by the “Corriere del Ticino” following their Estival 2011 performance: “The new version of “Scala Nobile” leaves its mark both in quality and intensity. Superb vocals by Bruno Amstad in addition to wind instrumentals by Paul McCandless and hats off to Schneebeli’s ability to be leader. A show of great international value. Rating: 6/6.”
In honour of the new “Live at Estival 2011” CD-DVD release, the group will be back on tour in November 2012 alongside their two distinguished guests.

Both guest musicians fit congenially into the sound concept of «Scala Nobile», so that an explosive mix is created which guarantees inspiring concerts and fiery music.  Sandro Schneebeli’s compositions touch with their poetry and catchiness, but at the same time are full of energy and invite the musicians to solo highlights and virtuoso improvisations. The band plays sensitive music for body and soul.

Now, for the first time, seven individuals come together to form a dynamic, energy laden sound body whose vibrations will transfer to the audience and whisk them into a fascinating musical world.  All involved have already made a name for themselves with their own projects. The fact that they put themselves into the service of a project for this tour is
a stroke of luck and a quality seal of first class. Very seldom do so many standing leader personalities bring that much experience and skill into a joint project.  And since nobody is to the fore, with reason you may look forward to dazzling music.
